Positive growth mindset

Dr Carol Dweck, Stanford University Psychologist and her colleagues have researched students attitudes to their learning over the last 30 years. Having studied the behaviour of thousands of students, Dr Dweck coined the terms 'fixed mindset' and 'growth mindset' to describe the underlying beliefs held by students about learning and intelligence.

Her research has found that students’ theories about their own intelligence had a significant impact on their motivation, effort, and approach to challenges.
