Ed-i-Med 2017

Ed-i-Med

RCSI is pleased to announce the inaugural Ed-i-Med symposium – an International Medicine & Health Professions Education Symposium aimed at medicine and health professions educators, clinicians, scientists and administrators from higher education and healthcare institutions.

The symposium will take place at 10am on Tuesday 20 June 2017 at RCSI St Stephen's Green. The theme this year is 'Building Resilience as Healthcare Leaders'.

The audience will include representatives from the medicine and health professions challenged with enabling students to become resilient as they transition from their undergraduate healthcare training setting to hospital, clinical and laboratory settings across the globe. Our keynote speaker for this event is Professor Lotte N. Dyrbye from Mayo Clinic. Her biography is available here.

Background

RCSI's 6th International Education Forum (IEF) taking place in June 2017. This event originated in 2012 as a forum to bring our Dublin and International Faculty together to discuss curriculum, assessment and medical education innovation. International keynote speakers have presented each year on contemporary issues in medical and health professions education. This year we are pleased to evolve the IEF through integration with the inaugural Ed-i-Med symposium.
