Innovation Training Series 2 : 1st November @ 2pm
The Office of Research and Innovation (ORI) with HR's Staff Learning and Development department have launched a new 6 part Innovation Training Series. The second training course How to Complete an Invention Disclosure is due to take place on 1st November 2017 (Details below). Target Audience: Post docs and PIs new to commercialisation

This workshop is delivered by Dr. Derek John, Technology Transfer Case Manager, ORI
After this course, the researcher should be able to understand:
• How the IDF fits into the commercialisation process
• What constitutes an invention
• When to disclose an invention
• How to articulate the invention's value proposition
• Who qualifies as an inventor
• How much technical information to include
• What constitutes Prior Art
• What constitutes Public Disclosure
• The significance of funding streams
• How to identify relevant partner companies
