SUTURING THE GENDER GAP

In conversation with... Ms Houriya Kazim FRCSI, Class of 1988, and Dr Adanna Steinacker (née Ohakim), Class of 2015.

Ms Kazim, who became the first female surgeon in the UAE in the early 1990s, is a pioneering breast cancer specialist and an avid spokesperson for women's health. She will take to the stage to talk with newly qualified doctor, Dr Steinacker, a young mother and popular YouTube vlogger, on surgical stereotyping, managing the work-life balance, and the importance of role models in surgery.

Join us in RCSI for a topical discussion addressing the gender imbalance in healthcare, and to hear Ms Kazim's practical tips on how she broke through the glass ceiling to begin ‘suturing the gap'.
