  • The Surgical Society is one of the largest student societies in the College and aims to encourage students to "reach beyond" the undergraduate curriculum in pursuit of surgical skills. With this award, the Surgical Society plans to purchase equipment and teaching aids, for use at training workshops and to create an "Equipment Library" within the Surgical Society.

The AGM was followed by the Annual Lecture which this year was delivered by Mr Asim A.Sheik. Barrister-at-Law & Assistant Professor in Legal Medicine, UCD School of Medicine on the topic of 'Medico-legal issues in Practice - How to avoid and deal with them'. A highly topical and pertinent subject which was reflected by the very active "Qs&As" thereafter.

The evening closed with an informal and convivial supper in the College Board Room.
