RCSI School of Physiotherapy hosts Queensland University Professor

RCSI (Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland)'s School of Physiotherapy was delighted to host Professor Gwendolen Jull AO, MPhty, PhD, FACP, Emeritus Professor at the University of Queensland from 17th-19th June.

Professor Jull has published extensively in the field of musculoskeletal physiotherapy with over 270 publications, three books and 40 book chapters. She is also co-editor of the international journal, Manual Therapy, a Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists and Founding Director of the Centre of Clinical Research Excellence in Spinal Pain, Injury and Health funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council in Australia.
 
Acknowledging her long and stellar career, Professor Jull was made an Officer of the Order of Australia earlier this year, for her career of distinguished service of a high degree to Australia and to humanity at large.

The School hosted over 100 clinicians for an evening lecture on June 17th in which Professor Jull outlined the Role of Cervical Musculoskeletal Dysfunction in Primary and Secondary Headaches. This was followed by a two-day course for 40 physiotherapists exploring the Management of Cervical Disorders via a research informed multimodal approach. These events attracted expert clinical colleagues such as Professor Moira O'Brien, TCD, and Aidan Woods, Head Physiotherapist with the Olympic Council of Ireland.
