Fellowship & Membership
RCSI has been supporting surgeons in Ireland and internationally for almost 230 years. Fellowship or Membership of RCSI provides professional accreditation from one of the most prestigious and respected surgical bodies with strong educational, clinical and collegiate support.
RCSI works on behalf of the surgical profession to enhance the health and health care of surgical patients. Through endeavor, innovation and collaboration in education, research and service, RCSI helps to establish and maintain the highest standards of surgical training and practice.
The opportunity to become a Fellow or Member of RCSI is a privilege that is only earned through hard work and an uncommon dedication to excellence. The hard work and dedication doesn’t stop the day a surgeon qualifies. In fact, qualifying as a surgeon is the start of a lifelong journey of learning and professional development.
RCSI supports surgeons at every step throughout their career. The College certifies the initial qualification of every surgeon in Ireland and thousands of surgeons internationally. RCSI provides a huge range of continuous professional development opportunities and continues to be the leading professional development and advocacy organisation for surgery in Ireland.
