Surgical fellowship opportunities in Ireland
RCSI welcomes applications from international medical graduates (from outside EU/EEA/Switzerland) to undertake two-year surgical fellowships in Ireland, commencing in January and July each year.
Suitably qualified surgical trainees who have been nominated by their employer or other sponsoring agency can apply to Surgery International at the Department of Surgical Affairs for a place on RCSI’s Surgical Fellowship Programme (SFP).
Expression of interest for RCSI’s Surgical Fellowship Programme
If you wish to express your interest in RCSI’s SFP, you may complete an expression of interest application form.
All expressions of interest received will be reviewed and those that are successfully shortlisted will be invited to make a full application for the SFP. Thereafter, successful applicants will be called for interview annually.

If you have any queries please email surgeryINTL@rcsi.ie.
International medical graduates who secure a place on RCSI’s SFP must register with the Irish Medical Council for the duration of their training in Ireland and return to their sponsoring hospital/country on completion of the programme.
Queries relating to the SFP can be directed by email to surgeryINTL@rcsi.ie or you can view the SFP programme brochure for 2018 below.
The College looks forward to working closely with sponsors and intending candidates on the SFP.
