The Colles Portal is a web-based system designed to support the training and assessment of surgical trainees in Ireland. This site is accessible by Trainees, Consultant Trainers, Programme Directors and Hospital Medical Manpower Managers (Requires RCSI login)
School for Surgeons
School for Surgeons is an acronym for Surgical Conferencing with enHanced Opportunities for Online Learning. There are currently two website which is accessible by two cohorts:
An online case based discussions and assignments given to surgical trainees based on clinical cases and results are recorded electronically. This site is accessible by Trainees and Consultant Trainers.
An online site which allows doctors to register their attendance at the Professional Development Programme classes. PCS credits are awarded to doctors who register and attend the classes.
This site is accessible by NCHD (doctors not on a training programme).
BeST Online
Is a comprehensive e-learning programme for postgraduate surgical trainees, the content is based on the syllabus for surgical examinations, specifically the Membership/ Fellowship examination. This site is accessible by Trainees and Consultant Trainers (Requires RCSI login)

Is an online system which enables doctors to keep a complete record of procedures performed. This site supports surgeons of all grades and all Specialties in the Ireland and United Kingdom.
mSurgery (www.msurgery.ie)
Is newly introduced custom built site for all mobile devices that contains the ‘just in time’ essential information for surgical trainees. It contains videos on surgical procedures and skills, access to the online mobile medical books, links to other useful sites and more. This site is accessible by all doctors throughout Ireland. (Certain sections require RCSI login)
