RCSI hosts Bahraini Art Exhibition

Mr. Dermot Desmond, Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) officially opened a Bahraini Art Exhibition this evening hosted by the RCSI in association with the Bahrain Arts Society.

The Exhibition of Traditional and Contemporary Bahraini Art will run from Saturday 12th November to Wednesday 16th November 2005.  

This event will attract a variety of top Bahraini artists including Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Abdulrahim Sharif who has won the Award of Al Dana in National Art Competition Bahrain, Jamal Abdulrahim, Lubna Amin,  Balquees and Abbas AlMousawi, whose many awards include first prize (Delmon Award) in the Ministry's Annual Exhibition.
The exhibition will be open to the public on 12th and 13th of November from 12 noon-6.00 pm and on 14th to16th November from 10.00am – 7.00pm.
RCSI holds a long association with Bahrain through its graduates and the recent establishment of RCSI-Medical University of Bahrain. The College will also hold its 9th Overseas meeting there in March 2006.
