37th Annual International Nursing & Midwifery Research and Education Conference 2018

Notice for all conference delegates

Please be advised that, in response to the predicted National Weather Warnings issued in the last 24 hours by Met Eireann, the Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery has convened a Conference Emergency Response Committee (CERC) to review and make decisions regarding the adverse weather predictions. Numerous meetings with key RCSI personnel have been held and in light of the national warnings and the health and safety of all staff and delegates, the decision has been made to cancel all conference events - this includes the Masterclass and Annual Dinner and Honorary Conferring Ceremony on Wednesday, 28 February and the Annual International Conference scheduled for Thursday, 1 March 2018.

As you will appreciate, this is very disappointing for all of us, and we will provide you with a new date when we reschedule these events, as soon as this is finalised in the coming weeks.

Now in its 37th year – making it one of the oldest conferences in Europe – the Research and Education Conference provides an important forum for practising nurses and midwives, students, researchers and academics to network, exchange ideas on current research and best clinical practice and ultimately use this up-to-date information to contribute to the enhancement of patient care at the bedside.

In 2018, the conference will take place on Wednesday, 28 February and Thursday 1 March 2018 in RCSI Dublin.

The theme for 2018 is: ‘Integrated Care: Ensuring Quality and Enhancing Patient Flow’.
