Dentistry surgical examinations

The Faculty of Dentistry, RCSI offer Fellowship, Membership and Diploma Examinations

Regulations for these examinations can be found on the Faculty website

A change regarding the CRP element will be made to the regulations for the MFD as of 1 June 2017 - please see below

For all Part 2 MFDRCSI examinations held up to and including 31 May 2017, candidates must pass the mandatory CPR station in the OSCE part of the examination.  Any candidate who fails this OSCE station will fail the Part 2 examination regardless of the marks awarded in any other section of the examination.

For all Part 2 MFDRCSI examinations held from 1 June 2017 onwards, candidates will be required to provide an attendance certificate (translated to English where applicable) as evidence of having completed a Basic Life Support course within 2 years of the examination date.  This will form part of the application for eligibility for entry to the examination.  From 1 June 2017 onwards, CPR will no longer be a mandatory must pass OSCE station for the MFD Part 2 examination.  It will be maintained as a scored observed station from time to time.
